Hi Guys,
I just noticed my prop is slightly damaged and I'm going to replace it, I do however want to know if I can make a "better" choice, I always thought the boat should be a little faster.
The boat is a 1970 SeaRay SRV190 (I believe 18.5") fibreglass and the engine is a 1984 Evinrude 140hp - the current prop is 13 3/4" x 17 - I turn 5800rpm @ like 39mph when the hull is clean. in cold water and cold weather over 40 at around 6000. I like keeping the engine in the 5500-6000 range wide open as it tends to reduce the carbon buildup. It's just a straight aluminum prop right now.
Thanks in advance guys!
