I have a 1990 Stingray 20' with a 350 Magnum. Prior owner had a 14.5x21 SS prop and when I bought the boat it went 63 MPH WOT at 4600 RPM. The boat ran this way for one year, but then I destroyed 5 intake valves because the engine had way too much advance.

After a head job and setting the initial timing at 8 btdc, the boat is runing around 55 MPH at 4300 RPM.

My question is what would be the best prop for my boat, I would rather have low end torque for sking, than top speed. I know that you give and take between the two, so any suggestions on a better prop and dimensions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Todd
