I have a 1985 18ft. Searay seville with a 140hp mercruiser on it. I need a new prop for. I did take the old prop off and the only numbers that I found that were readable were on the spline washer. The boat manual states that maximum RPM at WOT is 4200-4600 RPM. Because my tach does not work I couldn't tell what is was at. But the miles per hour at WOT was about 35mph. If anyone could help I would greately appreciate. Thanks

Re: Prop Selection...

Without your present prop size and the max rpm and speed prop eslection would be a guess. If you give us your typical load and activities. boat weight if possible
it will narrow it down slightly.A prop shop can measure the prop for you if you want try to pin it down more.
You really need to get the tach working so you know if the new prop is operating within the rpm rating of the motor. You might contact searay they may have prop suggestions for various applications.
