Prop service cost?

What should I expect to pay to get a few dings smoothed out of my aluminum prop? just a ballpark figure, like more than $50?<br /><br />thanks,<br />john

Probably a bit more than that for a proper job, John.<br /><br />The number that pops to my mind is more like $75.<br /><br />Good luck.

I pay $50 here.<br /><br />Picked it up today, looks like new.

If it is more than $50. look for a new prop, an aluminium can't be that expensive, & keep your old one for a spare. IMHO Joe

You usually don't see aluminum props in a shop for repair...it's cheaper to buy new.

There is a little prop shop on I20 between Trail Lake and Granbury rd in Ft Worth. He does good work, at a reasonable cost. The shop is in a little strip center. He is a little excentric on his hours though.

I dinged up a prop, but did not mash it by any means. $30 was the bill.

Tough to beat iboats for an aluminum prop. The prop for my 1974 evinrude 115 was only $95 on my doorstep. Its the type where the hub is seperate, so when I wreck this prop, I don't need to buy the hub, and the prop itself is only $45.<br /><br />I wouldn't waste my time getting an aluminum prop serviced, buy new.
