Prop shaft bent

Looking for help 2017 mercury 4 stroke EFI. We bent the prop shaft on this motor took lower unit off for skag repair.Found shaft bent. Now we removed the 2 carrier bolts and pulled carrier off can not get prop shaft out of gear housing. What am I missing? I don't see any other retainers. Shaft will come out about 1 1/2 inches and stop. Any help.

Some models use a "wedge" style shifting cam and you will need to pull shift shaft and propshaft out at same time to disengage....

Thank you Faztbullet I'll look into that. However I can see the shift dog but see no levers or actuators. Also when output shaft stops in gear case it still turns free however shift dog will no longer slide.

Thanks to all to get propshaft out I called Mercury and They told me "put gear shaft into and pull shifter up and out of case now remove propshaft do not rotate while pulling shaft" Did so and propshaft came out no problem. Thanks again
