18’ Crownline hit stump with SS prop and bent prop shaft on Alpha One. I jacked it hydraulically within .006”. What are the odds it’ll be ok once I get a new prop?
It had a 14.375 x 21 Ballistic and it had to be going over 20 to plane. Wife wants to putt around without staring at the clouds. If I can just put a prop on it will a 14 19 three blade get me a flat boat at 10mph?
Thanks

Provided you got the bend out, you might be OK, but it will bend again on Future Strikes.
I had to replace the Prop Shaft on my VP I/O when it had about 10 hours, Neat thing about Stainless Props, unlike Aluminium, the Blades stay mostly on and just keep Hammering

Book spec is 5 thou, measured at very particular points. Depending on where you're measuring, you may be ok.

Annnnnnnnnd.... none of that, ^^, makes much sense.... 'flat boat'? 'staring at the clouds'? If you couldn't plane below 17 knots, something's very wrong!

The prop it had had radical cupping in the blades. It would go over 50 but didn’t want to stay on plane under about 20. Drove wife nuts cause the lake is rough on busy days.

20 mph is about the minimum clean Planing Speed for an 18 ft. I suggest Hydraulic Trim Tabs if you want to force the Bow down
