Having trouble putting prop shaft yoke back on. Bought this used motor, tried to back it off trailer wouldn't go into gear, turned out yoke was missing. Believe it or not retail price on this yoke $250 dollars. Junkyard wants $125. I have a 1997 75hp force. Here are some pictures. Any and all advice welcome. First picture propshaft assembly and yoke. http://screencast.com/t/L5wtYGTJv4kR. Second picture yoke on shaft.I assume that's correct. http://screencast.com/t/NYUCvDDQ
Last picture not that good but thought I would include it. http://screencast.com/t/osoO824g Is this one of those things that takes pure luck to do. Or is there a trick to it.

HAVING THE RIGHT PART MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE. As it turns out the part I received from junkyard was wrong. That explains the $25 dollar price. Today I decided to check one more time to see if part was still in unit. After draining oil from gearcase previously, there was a little oil left. I took my fuel line and siphoned it out. Should have done that the first time. Couldnt been more than a tabsp left. Low and behold there it was. The yoke was not made of steel. Explains why my magnet didnt pick it up. I put yoke on shaft and it went right in. Everytime i pulled shaft yoke fell off. But each time it went in with little trouble. Guess now I just need to pressure test her. I made a homemade rig to do just that.
