Hi all,

I have a question and was hoping someone may be able to help out.. My mother called this evening, she told me the prob lost the blades on her 1993 19' Hurricane fundeck. Its has the original 1993 Yamaha 115hp outboard. The prop was one of those 4 blade comp props.

The problem is I am 2 hours away and would like to get a prop and bring it up to repair the boat for her next weekend. She said she cannot see any markings on what is left of the prop (it may be there.. maybe she can't see it)

Any idea on what the prop should be on this boat? She uses it for cruising around the lake.. My wife and I (and the kids) use it for tubing etc on some weekends.

Any help were to start is appeciated.

I just went through my notes.. I think the prop was a 12.7x19 (does that make sense? I am not sure if this note was from my old sea-ray with a 150hp Merc or from my mother's boat.

any suggestions on where I could order a prop for delivery this week? If the note is correct and its a 12.7x19 for the comp prop. If I pick up a SS should I buy the same size?

thanks!

I think a 17 is closer to what you need.If there is a chance of any hard contacts with the prop I would avoid the ss prop.Don't worry about diameter as it follows the design.SS is awfully expensive and sometimes may only have a marginal improvement over an al prop.I believe props from iboats ship promptly. The Solas Amita seem predictable, do well and are reasonable.
