OK, I am getting ready to take my new to me tracker out for my madden voyage and the prop that is currently on the engine has seen better days. I am looking for the right prop for me to use with this boat in Texas bays. I am not looking to break any speed records just want a prop that will give me the best proformance from my engine. Top end speed is not that big of deal since I will be in shallow water and need to keep it under control. I was thinking of going with the plastic type since the oyster bed are not very forgiving. Thoughts? I know I am going to kill this engine by puting it in saltwater but I need a little salt on my fish:D

You should post your question in the "Props" forum for best response. However, before you do that, you will get little help unless you provide the current maximum speed and maximum rpm at wide open throttle. Then look at the prop to get the diameter and pitch numbers. Without that data any responses would be only guesswork. There is no such thing as a "standard" prop so a baseline needs to be established using the existing prop.
