Hi all,

I have a question and was hoping someone may be able to help out.. My mother called this evening, she told me the prob lost the blades on her 1993 19' Hurricane fundeck. Its has the original 1993 Yamaha 115hp outboard. The prop was one of those 4 blade comp props.

The problem is, I am 2 hours away and would like to get a prop and bring it up to repair the boat for her next weekend. She said she cannot see any markings on what is left of the prop (it may be there.. maybe she can't see it)

Any idea on what the prop should be on this boat? She uses it for cruising around the lake.. My wife and I (and the kids) use it for tubing etc on some weekends.

Any help is appeciated.

Hi Bill,

If possible have someone, or your mother check the outside of the prop's hub. There should be some numbers like, 15, 17, or 19, this will be the pitch of the prop in inches. Pitch = the theoretical distance a prop can travel in one revolution. Now call Yamaha (or visit on-line) and find out the diameter the 115 can run. Now you can purchase a prop right here on iboats!

Good luck!
