I have a 1979 100 horse evinrude on a 16 ft. Glastron conroy, the prop was beat so I bought a new one 13x19, the old one was a 13x17 but the rpms were to high, the new prop at wot turns 5000 rpms at 37 mph. Does this seem ok? I thought I would have a better top speed.

Re: prop size?

You need to get the r's up. Look for 5800 with an average load. You may be able to gain some by raising the motor.
