I have a 14 ft. Gregor alum boat with 1988 15HP Johnson. I recently went to ocean at night and got stuck in a huge field of kelp. To get out of the kelp I had to gun the throttle but would acummulate to much kelp and boat would stop so I would turn off motor, lift motor and untangle kelp from prop. This also overheated the engine once, so I let her cool off. Finally got out of kelp but ever since that night, when I try to go WOT the boat wont go nowhere, the prop just slips. I can make it back to marina at a slow speed. The prop is Alum 9 1/4" x 10p I think, just the original prop that came with the motor. Can this prop be dust? How does a prop slip? Pease help with suggestions, maybe need a new prop or is there something else wrong?
