Prop spinning on hub, how to test?

I am have older props (10+) and was wondering what is the lifetime of a prop hub and how to test if they are spinning.

So are these just loose props, or are they props that you can run on a motor? From what I am reading, they must be loose props, no motors. If that is the case, there is no practical way of testing them without a fixture to hold them while applying torque with a torque wrench. Just trying to turn it by hand is useless because a 10hp prop has to be as strong as 10 horses--which I certainly am not and you probably aren't either.

how long will they last?? 10 minutes to 10 years or more.

you mark the cotter pin and the prop ----- then take it for a spin

if it doesnt line up after you drive it the hub is spun....... and they are repairable.
