Bondo and others:

If you followed our earlier discussions regarding my torque-shift prop from Land & Sea, you knew I was having trouble getting the thing set right.

I called Jim Sullivan from Land & Sea and told him all about it (you can read all the posts from a couple of months ago). Bondo---you helped a great deal but something was still wrong---we threw a spring and a cam was stuck in one blade.

Jim told me to send him the prop, and a letter with my boat specs, and a description of the problem.

They replaced the blades, gave me new cams and springs and sent it back. We just spent four days in the Ozarks and ran it for nearly 20 hours---tubing, wakeboarding, and just crusing.

I love it. We hit 38 mph (GPS) in about 4 seconds when you put the hammer down hard. Top end is a respectable 60.1 mph (GPS) at 4800 rpm---that's in the Ozarks where you really can't find smooth water. Boat easily popped out two tubes with adult riders and 6 people in the boat.

Top end is still not where it would be with my fixed pitch SS blade, but I think I can get close. They just put a little too much cup on the leading edge of the Torque Shift blades and I can't trim all the way up.

You have to be persistent to get these things to work right for your rig, but it is worth it.
