Prop washer thing worn.

sorry about the title, but have a look at the pic below. The rubber ring/seal in the washer is worn badly. I realise I will need to replace it, do I have to buy the whole washer or just the rubber insert. Also, what does it do? I know it backs onto a similar rubber seal in the prop.<br /><br />cheers
