i have a 17 foot boat with a 1988 mervury 90 horse straight 6 outboard. max speed is 35 and rpm is 4500. all i do is tube with the boat so i want a prop thats the best for that does anyone know what pitch i should get

Please read the stickies at the top of the page.We need a lot more info to help with a prop selectrion. we need the present prop numbers usually on the barrel or under the prop nut.Your typical load,fiberglass or aluminum,boat, Your max rpm is presently at the very bottom of your rpm rating.so a reduction in pitch is preobably needed.If you need to run at reduced throttle and be able to maintain planing a 4 blade prop should work.It should give better hole shot, stay on plane with less throttle,handle better both at speed and at the dock.
