If you have a newer tank, like one of them blue rino exchange tanks. Most of them and that feature built in. Look at the side of the tank. There should be a spot where you pour warm water on and it will show you how much is in the tank.

I'll have to check that.

I have used two methods

Hot water method (but I do not have a plastic wrapped tank like blue rhino) where I pour real hot water down the side of the tank and after a few minutes you will see the fuel level.

The second is a SWAG Super Wild ***** Guess when I lift the tank.

Anyone use one of these? I'd like to know how much gas is in my tank but don't want to cut down the pressure any more than it is. Maybe I should replace the regulator too? Seems to me it should be a little higher than what its always been.

bhile, you got one of those new regulators that was mandated by your mess every thing up gubment? If so you need to pull it apart and pull out the check ball and spring. They get gummed up and do not let the gas flow. Those safety regulators are a precursor to how things would be if your gubment starts to run your healthcare.

I've had several of them that just flat quit delivering any gas. Pulled my hair out till I figgered what was going on.

Thats what it is. I wish I had kept the regulator off my old grill.
