propeller Mercruiser 165 il 6 1979

hi there

i have this (great) engine and am not entirely sure, what propeller is the right one. Further I have no idea what outdrive is mounted.
I checked it yesterday, but went only to about rpm 3300 - but the speed gps controlled was at km 60. This seems ok, but at full throttle I have read in the forum, that something around 4200 is correct.

Need a lot more info boat brand/model,size ,dry weight,deep V?May be a gear ratio on the outdrive. Need prop size usually on the barrel or under the prop nut.
Max rpm and speed in mph if possible.If you read the stickies at the top of the page and the helps on the prop store page it will help you understand prop selection.

The Sea Ray Website has a prop guide for boats going back to 1978 check it out and it will give you a good idea where to start.
