I have a 1977 Reinell with a Merc 888 (Ford 302) with a 2 bbl Rochester 2gc carb (7044185.) I ordered the carb kit but to my dismay there are no instructions included in the box!!!
Can someone look up for me the proper float level and float drop to set this to, and any other adjustment measurements I should have?
I have much experience rebuilding Quadrajets, but this will be my first 2 barrel.

MerCarb Float Setting

This is the float setting for all MerCarbs.

Needle/Seat Float Level Float Drop
Two Piece Solid: 3/8 in. (10 mm) 13/32 in. (27 mm)
Spring-Loaded (1): 9/16 in. (14 mm) 13/32 in. (27 mm)

(1) MCM, MIE 5.0L, 5.7L S/N OL000001 and Above:
11/32 in. (9 mm) 15/16 in. (24 mm)

I saw this page, and that's what I set it to. This is what you were referring to, right?
The float was set for WAY more of a level/drop than 3/8 and 13/32 respectively.
Also just saw that 13/32 does NOT equal 27 mm. Hmm...

Will this apply to my older carb, considering the service bulliten is dated 1997?
