Just bought a 1998 Trophy 2503 Center Console with 1998 Mercury EFI 225hp 2 stroke, both in mint condition, always used in freshwater and stored inside. Boat has 2 15hp 4 stroke Mercurys (1999 and 2002) that were used for trolling. I am selling one of them. Ran the boat today and it was great. Planes and accelerates fast. At wide open throttle the max RPMs is 5400 and the boat will run about 52 mph. Is 5400 RPMs about right as a max for this motor?
