Just curious what the rpm range should be on the Merc 188 302/351 v8

I'm Recently just installed a Vengeance 14 x 19P Stainless prop and SmartTabs SX(amazing) right now at WOT I'm running about 4800-5000k rpm (depends on trim) at 40 mph. now to me that's really high RPM for a 5.0L but it is a boat so I maybe wrong, If it is high what kind of pitch would you recommend going with or prop in general..

Thanks

3800 to 4200 rpm is the spec for that engine. It is a 302, not a 351.
