That one looks to be in better shape but we really like the style of the other one.

It'd really help to know the pitch, brand and style of the two props in question and the rpms of each.

Re: props choice???

sly, does the 17 prop (34mph) sound like it revvs the engine higher? if so, that means that the 19 pitch is too much for the engine, and it doesn't have the power to turn the steeper prop up to full engine speed (where motor makes the most horsepower). Theoretically, the 19 would give you more speed if you had the power. In your case, the 17 is better matched for your engine. I have a 16' cobia w/ an evinrude 70, 17 pitch prop, and it's a good balance bewteen takeoff and top end. On the flip side, if you go too small on the pitch, the opposite will happen. the motor will over rev and you won't be going as fast as you could be. But what a holeshot!
