Props: How much does condition matter? 9.8 Mercury

Just wondering how much does it matter, "performance wise" if my old prop is missing paint, chipped up a little bit, but otherwise spins real well....

on a 9.8 its not gonna make much difference as long as its not bent, missing pieces and edges worn down. paint comes off normally without hitting things. the original 40 year old prop on my 50 hp was filed down pretty good and it didn't run much different from my new ones
