Re: props.......new on boats and props........

As far as the prop put the original on and do some test runs when you get her running.
We need the dry weight of the boat or at least brand, year, length, width layout, tiller? We need the lightly loaded wot rpm and gps speed.
As far as your motor issues you will get better help in the Suzuki forum.
You will need a service manual, factory is best but aftermarket will work.
Good luck there is a forum here for almost any help you need.

My experience is with carbs on a Yamaha 115 hp 2 stroke.

You just remove the carbs, and carefully disassemble them one at a time. They don't take a soak like an automobile carb. Just note how many turns it takes to fully seat any adjustment screws, and re-set them to that many turns after they're cleaned with aerosol carb. cleaner (bought at Autozone/O'Reillys.) If you're careful with the gaskets, no carb kits are required.

While you're at it, go through all the fuel lines and filters to make sure the modern 90/10 gasoline is not gumming up things.

It's nice to have a repair manual to guide you through your maintenance tasks.
