Hi guys<br /><br />I have a 1980 80hp merc outboard and I want to buy a new Prop for it most likely from EBAY. It has a serial #48-77342-a40l-15p.<br />So my question is what should I look for in terms of specs for my new Prop. <br /><br />thanks <br />Sean<br />P.S.<br />I'd like to get a little more speed out of the old girl if I could

Your prop is a 15" pitch, 3 blade, cupped prop, if it preforms properly try to replace it with the same number or spec.
