For anyone considering buying one of these plastic, 4 blade, adjustable pitch props; I did, and have already ran it aground. The blades did not break off or chip. It did spin each blade internally to the lowest pitch setting and put me at 4mph to a suitable place to pull the prop. I reset the pitch and was on my way. It broke some internal parts that insure all blades are at equal pitch. I now have to measure each blade instead of just spinning the outer ring as the design intended.<br /><br />I dont't think my alum prop would have even bent in the soft sand/mud I hit.
