I thought I was getting a bimini top two weeks ago but that didn't work out. So I am still looking around for the best deal. But what are the pros and cons when mounting the bimini top to the outside of the side windows verse on the inside of the side windows. I am also getting reay to order a new safeguard boat cover so I am not sure what will have to be down to make it fit the biminit top.

If you have a full enclosure, or might add one in the future, I think that you almost have to put them on the inside. It would be difficult to snap the enclosure shut otherwise.

It's really up to you. For me, there will be no way to fit it inside the windows without some custom bends and making it really small, so mounting outside is the only option for me. You'll get more coverage.

If you go full enclsure you are looking at custom anyway so up to what you do in that case.

Dunno if this helps you or not, but on my little 15' trihull, no decent bimini was small enough to mount inside the windshield supports or to the horizontal flat part of the gunwale. I mounted to the sloped part of the outer gunwale, using these (and some std deck bimini mounts and quick-release pins):

Has held up remarkably well for me, and allowed me to mount a nice, big, wide, shady top on my tiny boat. Also allows me to lay the stowed bimini either forward (surrounding the entire windshield) or backward (laying on the gunwales and stern)--or easily remove it altogether.
