Hi, 86 EV 90

Moved the boat to an outside storage area.(in the hot AZ sun). Went out after a few weeks to start the motor and noticed the trim was a little jerky on the way down. Hmmmmm... Started the motor and after I was finished put the motor back to full tilt flipped up the trailering bracket and proceeded to retract the rams for storage. It was locked up and won't move up or down now although the motor is working.
I have the procedure to remove the shuttle valve and pop the inner valve with a hammer to release the pressure (from Joe Reeves, thanks!) I just don't see where this valve is. On the right hand cylinder there it a large slotted plug looking thing about the size of a nickel. Is this it? Or is that the fill plug? I have been using the proper trailering and storing procedures as per Joe Reeves, but as soon as I let this boat sit out in the 105 degree heat, it locked up. The local OMC mechanics say it is common out here due to the heat. Where is that valve, and how can I prevent this in the future? Or, can I? :(

H90

On the right-hand (starboard) side, look thru the transom bracket, I believe right above where the tilt pin goes thru, there is a hole thru the transom bracket and you should see a slotted screw and a snap-ring...that is the manual relief valve.
If the tilt motor is running but nothing is moving, is the motor pulling down or does it sound free??? If it's spinning free, you may need to add trim/tilt fluid.
