Pull rope (re)-assembly--??? HELP

Hello! I have a 1973 20hp mercury. I took apart my pull rope assembly, and can't seem to remember how it goes back together, or how the things works. All the parts are still here, but i may need to order the tab-washer that holds the bolt sprung.<br />I can't get the claws that catch the flywheel to open when i pull the rope. What am i doing wrong?<br /> Where does the wave washer , 2 flat washers , and what looks like a pie pan washer with a hole in the middle go? I need help here. I can't afford to paid a tech. to re-assembly. HELP!!!<br /><br /><br /> rc

Ryanc I think we talked on your other post about this problem.If you need the tab washer that is under the bolt on top of the recoil,you need #14-61004.Beyond that,over the net I can't help you thru this .I think you need to take it in to a dealer,and have it done.Usually 1 to 1 1/2 hours <br />DHP

Thanks DHP--for the part#. I need the dealer to put it back togetherthe correct way. I don't have the money to pay a dealer. They would want a big bill for this . thanks anyway rc
