Pulley alignment question on 170 Alt. conversion

I bought the complete alternator conversion kit and will be installing soon. Any tips or feedback on the pulley installation.

The ones I was looking at ran the belt through the harmonic ballencer but I know that some kits come with the pulley you have to drill and mount. You may want to check in over at www.breezeworks.net as they are all about the Merc 470 engines. I have seen several that have done the conversion.

the pulley need to be centered exactly, snug it in place, make some type of indicator, rotate motor ,truing pulley by tapping with a hammer..The bracket is the critical part.It must be flush with the block so to you dont crack it tightening .Use Loc-tite "blue"
on the mounting bolts.
