pulling flywheel

Just got a harmonic puller with #5 hardened. Is this better than the #8 which is recommended? THANKS

No, grade 8 bolts are harder than grade 5. Grade 5 are much better than the grade "peanut butter" bolts that come with most of the inexpensive puller kits, but still you should really hold out for grade 8 bolts. Especially if you're working on one of the larger engines with a torque spec of 60 or 105 lbs/ft.

Although it is very tempting I would not start the job without grade 8 bolts.
