I have a 1986, 85hp. Force and it pulls to the right. I moved the exhaust snorkel to the right and it did not help. It was in the middle when I noticed this problem and I moved it to the left and this did not help. So it was in the middle, left, and right and it still does it. Also, I have another problem. On my remote control, I have to pull the handle towards the center of the boat to put it where I can put it in fast idle. When I do this the handle does not move very much and the fast idle is not very fast. Can anyone help me?

Re: pulling to right

Might be better to post up some pics of your set-up for both problems. How's your ballast when the boat is pulling and has it always done this or is it a recent problem. As for the throttle cables, they do wear, but again what you've posted is somewhat subjective. My "warm up" throttle is only probably 30% of travel compared to engaged in gear. How much are you getting?

On my 125 the fast idle control (pulling to center and fwd) only goes as high as 2,000 RPM. I thought that was already very high for idle rpm. What is your idle rpm on muffs and also fast idle rpm?

The boat ballast seems ok. it just pulls to the right. As for the warm uo throttle, yes it is only traveling about 30% if that much

Re: pulling to right

Then I'd say it's time to post a picture of your lower unit area at the very least. You know, a video while operating would be really helpful to these guys. If you don't already have a Photobucket (just add the ".com" to it) account, I'd recommend getting one. It's totally free to post either pics or videos and super simple to link them into your reply in a thread.
