are there any gotcha's when pulling the top cap on a 74 Glastron v156? wondering specifically about any extra bedding in the transom area that causes extra work or cutting. links to any images or how-to writeups appreciated

Thanks

I've created an account over there and there is a ton of great info inside. I did some searching around without much luck on this subject, since this site gets more traffic (and it has a Glastron section too) I thought I'd try this question here first to get more eyeballs on it.

read the forum......
there is a ton of glasstrons re done here.

johnny did a fantastic job on his 156.

look for a thread called "pics of work so far" by jsercasa.....(the spelling on his name might be off...but the thread is there and its a good one....i think the thread may also be in the completed projects forum.

redfury also did a glasstron....
that is also in the completed projects forum....

the cap is a shoe box type and should not be any trouble at all.
the cap removal is allways a lot of fiddling and fussing......you might have to climb in there with a knife and cut some marine sealant but no big deal
