Ive read every post on why a Force 85 pulls hard right with no definitive answer. No my hulls not hooked, no i dont want to experiment with taking it in and out of the water 3 or more times and adjusting the snout.

Facining the rear of the boat slash engine which direction should the snout point? <- 0 -> the 0 being the fixed allen wrench bolt at the very rear of the engine? Please let me know if you have made this adjustment with any level of success. TIA

Yes, I had a steady pull to the left, not hard but requiring constant corrections. Adjusting the snout corrected it. It is a rudder after all.

Opposite the way you would think as it steers the rear of the motor like a trim tab, which it is.

Turn your engine as if you're correcting the problem. Pivot your snout in the opposite direction. Sorry but how much WILL require experimentation, aka multiple launches, unless you're an underwater mechanic.

From the rear of the motor.
If the boat pulls to the right, turn the snout to the right.

The snouts pivot point is at the front and the adjustment range is on the back close to you.
It doesn't have much adjustment, loosen and slide the snout to the right.

That can help but other things affect the pull.
Load is one. To much weight on one side.
Where the battery's are mounted.
Cavitation plate, is it even with the hull.
T@T can affect it.
Another fix: trim tabs.

I’m sorry but I must have a different bottom half. When standing behind the boat the pivot point is closest to me and the adjustment range is towards the front of ghd engine and boat.

Pictures?
I might have is backwards?
But it still works: if it pulls right? move it right.

That don't help or makes it worse? turn it the other way??

I did the adjust the snout thing, but I have a pontoon 24 ft, actually with motor it's 25ft, still had a pull to the right with motor all the way down.... noticed this at a quarter throttle or more, use motor trim and it goes away,

OK here is the definitve answer. The trim makes a little difference but not much 17 foot bass boat. The setting from behind the the boat is hard left, that is pivot point allen screw is right in front of you. swivel adjustment is in front of that. Turn the snout hard hard left all the way, secure allen bolt and swivel bolt. looks like this from behind engine -\- boat now tracks straight as an arrow in all trim conditions and picked up about 4 miles per hour top speed. Good luck worked for me.
