Purchase advise on new outboard

Hi,<br /><br />Looking to replace an old 2 cycle 6hp with a new 5hp 4 stroke - looking at the ususal suspects, Honda, Nissan/Tohatsu, Mercury, Johnson, Evinrude. I was told that Tohastu OEM's engines for Nissan and Mercury - not sure who makes OMC, and that Honda only makes their own engines.<br /><br />The pricing seem to all be within 150 of each other. I have heard nothing but praise for the Honda, but also don't want to buy just because of the "brand."<br /><br />Any input appreciated as I am buying this week!
