The book says to raise the motor up. Pull the fill plug and fill to the threads. Then put the plug back and put the down wire (green I think) to a 12volt connection and trim down, then put the up wire (blue I think) to the 12volt circuit and trim up. Remove fill plug and put more fluid. Perfom this rotation up to 3 times.
My question is (which the book doesn't tell me), my wires on the trim motor are already hot. Do they have to be disconnected while I purge the trim/tilt fluid and manually connect them to put the motor in the up and down position? Or is it ok to leave everything connected and use the tilt/trim buttons on the motor to put it up or down while completing the above steps?
Thanks,
Mike
