I have a 1993 OMC 5.0 HO Cobra with the 2 bbl carb. The model series is JVB. I am looking to put a Holley 600 cfm marine carb and an Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake on it. I also am looking to find the factory horsepower rating for this engine. I believe it to be about 190. How do I tell the CFM rating of the 2 bbl carb?
The boat this engine is in is a Sunbird Regency 195 and weighs about 2300 lbs.

If you ever want to use the boat in saltwater, you may want to rethink the aluminum intake.

I would look for a cast iron intake on ebay, usually see them around. The 2bbl rochester dual jets are about 300 or so cfm.I would have to dig but i have the book on those carbs somewhere..

Clean it up and stick 'er back on ebay. It'll sell. Start it at 49.95 with no reserve and decent shipping.

Sounds pretty good. What exactly did you get for the 90$? Those OEM 4bbl spacers, alone, are going for as high as 50$.
