I have a 1976 with omc drive. I was out fishing today the all the sudden the boat wouldnt steer. I looked under the dash and the steering cables looked like a bunch of spagetti. I tried for a long time to rewrap the cables on the spool but couldnt figure it out. Dual cable system. It has a slot on each end of the spool for each cable. I could get it to turn one way then it would tangle up again. Does anyone have a diagram they could post or tell me the proper way to do this? thanks.
