Putting drive back together (volvo sx)

So i pulled my volvo sx upper unit off of the transom bracket, redid the u-joints, bellows, ect.... Now I got all the new parts I need as well as seals, rings, gaskets and was curious if/what type of lub I should use on them. Do i put anything on all of the o-rings and I've heard different thoughts on the yoke shaft seal that rides the yoke. Some say nothing, some say marine grease. Any info you can give a 1st time assemblier of this drive to help prolong the life of the unit?

It's best to use gear lube on the O rings and seals and a light coat of perfect seal on any gaskets.Make sure every thing is clean and pressure test the drive before reinstalling it GL,Ted

I got everything back together. No issues. Sealed everything and got all new seals installed. The only thing I noticed is that it seems almost like I have to move the shift controller farther forward and back to engage the gears. I think it is just me over thinking about it looking for issues. It still engages the gears before rpms are increased so I think it is normal. I also put it in gear out of water just to check everything and it seems to have a small clicking noise (very minor). I think it is just due to the fact there is no load on the prop spinning out of water. A test drive will tell everything in a few days.

Well, I came outside after work and noticed that I had a few drops of grease/water mix below the boat. They are coming from a peice that allows the lower unit to pivot back and forth with the steering. It is the lowest part on the transom mount. It looks exactly like a ball joint on a car. Can these peices be greased, need replaced, or any issues I should know about?
