PVC Anchoring in shallow water?

I have seen quite a few boats out on the lake tied up in shallow water using some sort of a PVC setup... it looks like a DIY project, and while my boat is in the shop getting some service, I thought I might throw one or two of these together if I can find out what it consists of...

I have seen what you are talking about, pvc pipe with an aluminum auger in the end, but I can't seem to find one.

I did a quick google search and found some that were complete but no kits, one of them was called the "screw it" beach anchor.

They look easy snough to make but you would have to find out where you can ge the head from.

Are you talking about a "Power Pole" or the "stick it anchor pin" ? They are usually used for bass boats fishing in the shallows. Google them.

You tube has videos too.

I did a google search before I posted this. I couldn't find what I was looking for. These are used at sand bars and what not when hanging out at one particular place on the lake. I saw the ones for fishing, but that isn't what I am referring too.

It's possible that it is PVC and an auger.
