There were at least two threads discussing this, I finally got my frame done (didn't take that long, just busy). Rather than including the pics inline, here's a link to my photo gallery.
boat cover pics

(ps: if anybody wants to post pictures there, feel free.. just let me know as I have to approve them).

looks good.

One suggestion, you can get a heavier tarp (silver at my local store) that is 2-3 times stronger, and is supposedly uv protected. About 2 times the price of a cheap one.

What a nice solid looking vessel. Is the centre consul solid? Can you store equipment in there? It looks like it would hold a bit of gear.
What's the big dark thing on the port side by the glass? Is that navigation lights or am I just seeing it differently.
I like your boat and that ingenious conraption for the cover. How simple. I'm going to copy the idea cause I hate the way my tarpaulin touches the boat and keeps moisture there all the time.
Ross

It's not actually a centre console, I'm not sure what dark thing you're talking about.. There's a horn there (and a matching one on the other side, that doesn't work).

I used 1" sched 40 PVC which is a bit flexible, but seems to be enough.

As far as the tarp, yup.. I'll be buying a heavy duty tarp before winter.. I may also setup a 12 volt fan on a solar panel for additional ventilation (somebody on another thread is doing that).

Hopefully more folks will post their pictures of similar setups, so that we can pass around the ideas.
