Q-jet air/fuel mixture screw adjustment

Carb seems to be loading up a bit at an idle and wants to die so I'm going to adjust the mixture screws. Should this be done with the boat in water or could i get the same results when adjusting with ear muffs hooked up?

rhubbard422, You can make the adjustments at home and maybe that will work, but usually idling in gear on the water is the preferred choice. Because then the engine is under an actual load and the air/bleed/fuel adjustments actually can be adjusted for such a load... JMHO!
