Can anyone post up the distance between the bow casting chair post and the furthest forward edge of the bow casting platform? In other words, "footroom" when the bow is configured for fishing.

There are no Q5/Q6 sf boats set up anywhere near me, and I'm trying to get an idea of how much space there is in the bow to run the trolling motor controls.

Thanks very much for any info...

I have a Q3 s/f and have went to the motor guide wireless and love it for that reason and it's great when landing fish and I'm on my owne on the water.

I have an 07 Q6... 23 inches straight ahead from front edge of post to inside of bow ledge. 20 inches to port and starboard.

Good info, thanks! So are you fishing from the rear deck with the wireless?

Great, thanks very much for the info. Do you use your front deck to fish?

I'm using a wireless controller and when alone I use the rear deck... using the swim platform gets me much closer to the water. Make sure that you have good gripping deck shoes! Ask me how I know that deck is slick with a little water on it!

Wireless is the way to go. When I'm trolling I sit in the back, when I'm fishing the banks, I'm in the front, and when I'm fishing for stripers I'm all over.

I upgraded when I bought mine, and its the best money I spent.
