Not sure if your affected by this in your area but the Quad Cities Mississippi river area seems to have a problem of the barges taking over a good portion of the beaches. They park these barges parrell to any stretch of land that they feel they want to, it doesn't matter if its obvious if its a beach that pleasure boaters use. The problem is compounded by the fact that many times these barges sit untouched for long periods of time not just on the week days but 24/7 so you can never gain access to these beaches. Does anybody know if there are any regulations that restrict this? If not there should be. Barges should have desinated areas where they can park.

I could offer an opinion, but it would not be as accurate as the one you can get from your local municipality office. :)

Oh man that would suck. Ya Recreation is way down the list when it comes to the COE it seems. Even though it is in their mandate
