I was wondering just a couple of things, as I just picked up my boat from the shop and now have a "new" 1991 Force 70 HP.

Anyway, first of all, did this motor come with a "quick disconnect" for the fuel line. I had a JohnnyRude before this and I'm used that that, but this motor doesn't, I have to hook my fuel line up to the fuel pump and route it through where the throttle and shift cables come in. Its a "B" model (708F91B i think it were).

Also, should this motor have an airbox of any sort. My V4 'rude did.

Ya'll have a Merry Christmas or whatever you celebrate and thanks in advance for the replies.

Merry Christmas.

No airbox of any type on that motor.

It should have a quick disconnect. You can get them from Mercury.
Or you can use a set from any brand of motor if you have a set.
You just need male and female fittings that work together.

Thanks for your help. What I've done is pulled a 3/8" fuel line about 18" long from the fuel pump to just about 4 inches outside the power head, added inline filter, another 6 inches of hose, primer bulb, 5 feet of hose to the fuel tank. This gives the the primer where i want it and there is enough slack in the line to allow for lock to lock steering with no binding of the fuel line, and if something happens where i need to disconnect the fuel, i can disconnect at the fuel filter.

Works for me ;)

Merry Christmas or whatever you might celebrate.
