If the air vent is clogged or not adjusted right would this effect the top end rpm when the motor is under a load. I took the carb off of a 1999 yamaha 4 cycle and cleaned the jets and put new guts in except for the air vent. Place carb back on motor and now everything is running great in neutral about 5500 rpm, but when under a load it is only pushing 3000 rpm. Motor ran great last year and the only thing I didnt do with the carb was adjusted the air vent.
Thanks
