question about another older OMC drive

Now I am looking at a 1972 21.5ft. Larson with Buick V6 and OMC drive.Will be looking at the boat tomorrow morning for the first time.<br />Is this vintage of OMC drive any better than the 800 stringer I was looking at previously?? We will be taking the boat out for a test run also.Are there any things I should be looking out for while driving it?<br />I plan on doing my own maintance on the boat but it is supposed to be running fine. It is a one owner boat with service records.New tilt drive installed last year.<br />Will provide more info after seeing the boat.<br /> Thanks for any info provided.

are you a crap magnet? lol<br />the 155 v-6 was discontiued mainly due to g.m. stopping production therefore parts are sometimes hard to get the drive is an electric shift omc has all the same maintence issues as the 800<br />my advice if its cheap enough ok if not a good deal run

No,just don't have alot of money to spend. The guy is asking $3,500 OBO. Lots of accessories.

Save your $$$$ & your sanity. You'll spend half your time working on it............if u can get parts.
