Hi. Just got a boat and I have cables that I am not sure what they do. One is humminbird - is it the transducer cable? Its a 2 wire rectangular cable. The other picture is of 2 cables. Can someone help me ID them? Thanks

Re: Question about cables

The hummingbird might be the fish finder, and the other one could be for a radio, GPS, tv?? (not sure), Have you taken a wire tester to them to see if they're hot?? Does your boat already have a marine radio?

Re: Question about cables

The pic on the right looks like a Garmin GPS setup circa 1999. The black connector is power for the GPS. The white cable with the BNC connector is for the GPS antenna.

The pic on the left is the Humminbird. It's tough to see if it carries power and transducer, but that looks like the transducer connector. If so, the power connector is missing. The power connector on many Humminbirds is separate with black & white wires going to a 2-pin version of the flat 4-pin plug that's normally found on trailers.

To be sure, follow the cables to their sources.
