Question about fuses

My Mercury 9.9 & 20 owner's manuals say to carry spare "SFE" 20 amp fuses. I went to the local WM today thinking I'd just be able to grab a couple packs off the shelf, but all their fuses were "AGC".

What's the difference between the two and where can I get the SFE's?

Thanks.

Go to any auto store, or Radio Shack.

Re: Question about fuses

SFE fuses are of different lengths for different amps. AGCs are all the same length. The AGC-20s happen to be the same length as the SFE-20s. So in that one case, they're the same. However a SFE-10 is shorter than an AGC-10, and an SFE-30 is longer than an AGC-30.

Re: Question about fuses

OK, very helpful, thanks. Probably a good idea to have a few spares on hand.
