I picked up an old 6 hp seahorse, and I'm currently in the cleaning and disassembly mode. As you can see in the third picture, the throttle cable has worn the hole in the lower housing pretty severely. As part of the fix, I want to pull the throttle cable and the kill switch wires so I can do something about the hole and get a new sleeve over the cable and wires.

Looking at the wires, I can't find any handy connectors. Do I need to clip the kill switch wires to remove the kill switch? I think I could get the ground side free, but the other side goes into a three-pin connector that has some other things tied in that I definitely can't fit through little holes.

By the way, I do have a proper stand now...

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Carl

Just push out the lead with the pin from inside the connector and out. Do not just pull the wire as it might break off.

THANKS Worked great. That was a lot easier than I thought it would be.
